Mark your calendars!!
In response to the activity that happened over the weekend we wanted to address the concerns of our neighbors. We have invited Lancaster EMS First Response and Pool Lifesaving training to come and provide training to anyone interested in learning more about how to handle an emergency situation. They will be here on September 9th at 10am.
I know it is the tail end of pool season, but I felt passionate about bringing education and awareness to those who want it. I will also make sure this will be a recurring event that we host at the beginning of every pool season!
Thank you everyone.
FROM THE BOARD:
Several weeks ago a small child was playing near the deep end of the pool when they slipped and fell in. The pool was busy, the parents were nearly, and there were plenty of potential witnesses in the area. Unfortunately nobody noticed the child fall into the pool and if not for the actions of another child who noticed the drowning victim floating underwater, tragedy may have struck. The child who saw the drowning victim was able to get an adult who then summoned others to help. The victim was resuscitated and recovered at the hospital.
